Japanned Eley Bros100 Cap tin box with label " Made expressly for COLT'S PT Belt and Pocket PISTOLS". Circa 1854. The 100 count tins are for the 1849 Colt Pocket and the 1855 Colt Root revolvers. Cap tins with paper labels were not introduced untill the mid 1850s. This one has a perfect label and over 90% of the original finish. Some dents in bottom of tin which contains about 50 original caps. Fine condition. REF.Rapley BKII CT#10.
